This portion of the sanctuary is angular, but still of the same concrete and brick motif of the rest of the sanctuary of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Columbus, Indiana October 10, 2013. The new sanctuary, designed by Gunnar Birkerts, was completed in 1988. The previous, 1904 sanctuary, was razed in 2011 after years of declining use. (Joe Harpring | The Republic)
