A grave marker for Civil War veteran Nelson Calkins sits next to his and his wife Kate's tombstone in the Columbus City Cemetery in Columbus, Ind., Wednesday, June 7, 2017. Calkins served six months as a musician in the 147th Indiana Infantry near the end of the Civil War. The grave marker was discovered by Greg Drysdale at a construction site where the Golden Foundry once stood. A small ceremony was held as the grave maker was placed next the Calkins' plot in the cemetery. Calkins passed away in 1921, 56 years after his service in the Civil War. Mike Wolanin | The Republic
